Tareq and Michaele Salahi, part of the aspiring cast of a reality show called “The Real Housewives of Washington” have become the first to crash an elite White House state dinner.
They were the uninvited guests but somehow managed to get through the party inspite of the tight security.
White House official stated, “The couple was not invited to the dinner, not included on the official guest list and never seated at a table in the South Lawn tent.”
The Salahis arrived about halfway into the party dressed in a tux and red and gold gown.
The wife, a former Redskins cheerleader, is one of the finalists for the upcoming Bravo cable show.
The couple chronicled their night at the White House with a photospread on Facebook, where they’re seen posing with Vice President Biden and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel – who the Salahis improperly identified as “Ron.”
The uninvited guests were in the same room as President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, although it is unknown whether they met the Obamas and the guest of honor.
The couple was not seated at a table under the tent but were able to mingle with the likes of Joe Biden, Katie Couric, and Rahm Emanuel (and, on facebook, the misspelled his name ‘ron’). The Secret Service is now looking into the situation – it is unknown whether the couple will receive any disciplinary action.
