Punjab National Bank (PNB) has invite applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of 1246 clerks.
The online registration for PNB recruitment 2010 will be open on Jan 25 and will close on Feb 18.

The Written Test for Clerks and other official posts will be held on 4th April 2010.
PNB will recruit as many as 1246 clerks for its branches across the country.

• DATE OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION 04.04.2010

• No of vacancies is provisional and may vary according to the actual requirements of the Bank
• Scale of Pay: (likely to be revised shortly) 4410-215/3-5055-335/3-6060-470/4-
7940-500/3-9440-560/4-11680-970/1- 12650-560/1-13210**
• (DA, HRA, CCA etc. will be paid as per Bank’s rules in force from time to time depending upon place of posting. Medical, LFC, Pension, PF, Gratuity etc will be admissible as per Bank’s rule.
• Educational Qualification
Graduate in any discipline with 50% marks OR equivalent qualification,
and working knowledge of MS Office.
• Relaxation in Educational Qualifications for SC/ST/EXSM/PH Candidates: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University, and working knowledge of MS Office.
• a) The educational qualifications prescribed for the post are minimum. Candidates must possess above qualifications/work experience as on opening date of registration, and must submit marks sheet & Degree issued from the University and necessary experience certificate from the employer if called for interview.
• SELECTION PROCEDURE
For Post of Clerk the selection will be through Written Test and/or Interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms would not entitle a candidate to be called for Test or Interview. The Bank may call only the requisite number of candidates after preliminary screening/short-listing with reference to the candidates’
qualifications, suitability, experience etc.
