Nityanand Gopalika, the Internet Predator: an Indian Arrested by US Police

Pennsylvanian state police arrested and identified Nityanand Gopalika as an Indian engineer living in U.S on work visa, he was also charged for soliciting underage girls for sex in several different chat rooms on internet.
He is the first Indian to be involved in such case.
Gopalika was preliminarily arraigned on July 1 and blocked in the Butler County Jail in lieu of USD 15,000 cash bail, pending an introduction hearing on July 24th.
According to Attorney general Pennsylvania Tom Corbett Nityanand Gopalika purposely used a chat room on internet to reach out to a 13-year old girl from Pittsburgh for sex.
But the girl was an undercover agent from Child predator unit, and was on a project to trace out these illegal activities.
As per the disclosures of the complaint, Gopalika was engaged in a series of chats over several days, and was getting personal over asking questions related to sex experience and describing the sex acts he wished to engage in.
Along with Gopalika, four others arrested, the names are Lahbib Hannoune – 30, Harlan Gene King – 26, Dominic J. Galliani – 44 and Fayette County 26.
Nityanand Gopalika is charged with one count of attempting unlawful contact with a minor, a first degree crime along with one count of criminal use of a computer, these are all third-degree crimes and are each punishable by 7 year in prison and $15,000 fine.
