The 22-year-old Katharine Brown, from Dunblane, Perthshire, in South Africa to take part in the glitzy Miss World contest at Johannesburg.
Katharine Brown ‘s been keeping a diary of her five-week adventure ahead of the grand final on December 12.
According to the diary Katharine Brown wrote, As I walked out in front of the audience, I heard the Miss World girls who were watching scream: “Go Baby Scotland!”
I wanted to go to the beach for a month. I told everyone in Scotland via Facebook as I can’t believe out of 112 girls, I came third in my bikini.
A lot of the girls were also in the gym, including Miss World! We ran next to each other on the treadmills.
I’ve started a Miss World gym epidemic here as I have been going since we were in London.
I feel so great about being here at Miss World and I am having the time of my life.
But it takes a lot of hard work to get this feeling, believe me.
I work relentlessly to feel this way – but it’s so worth it.
