- City Limouzines Scam Update: Special Team Setup For Investigation
The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed an application filed by City Limouzines chief S M Masood seeking protection from arrest across the country.
Not only this but the economic offences wing (EOW) of the Mumbai crime branch has formed a special investigative team to look into the case.
Joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria said, “The city police has formed an eight member team to investigate the case of City Group where two of its companies-City Limouzines and City Realcom-duped thousands of investors”.
“A dedicated team will be able to concentrate on the case and even the victims will be able to interact with them.”"The team was formed last week,” Rakesh added.
The need for a specialised team was felt because many people are coming forward with complaints almost on a daily basis
The firm is under investigation on charges of cheating after it failed to repay investors their interest since August.
Seems that our cops are taking grave efforts to give justice to the Indian investors.
