The Auto Expo is jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) promises to be one of the best auto shows in the world.
The New Delhi Auto Expo will be held at Pragati Maidan from January 5-11
The first Auto Expo was held in 1986, the second in 1993, and the third in 1996. Since then, Auto Expo has been institutionalized as a biennial show.
About 2,100 participants from 30 countries will participate in the event, which will boast of over 1.25 lakh square metres of exhibition space.
Pawan Goenka, president of Society of Indian Automobile, said, 
“We will have 40 percent more visitors this time and will have over 10 global launches and 50 other launches with all well-known auto makers taking part”.
“The 2010 Auto Expo will be bigger, brighter and better than the previous shows. The growing number of visitors indicates the rising importance of India as a key automobile destination. We expect around two million visitors,” he added.
‘The Auto Expo will act as a platform for both Indian and foreign business visitors where they will have ample opportunity to see products on display as well interact with officials of component companies at the venue,’ ACMA president Jayant Davar said.
The Show Brings Exposure for Vintage Car Display, Go-carting, Award Nights, Design Contest, Diesel Pavilion, Asli/Naqli Pavilion as Special Attractions.
The expo will witness the largest-ever overseas participation with companies from Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Taiwan and Britain participating.
Auto Expo is the total Automotive Show in this part of the world, planned mutually by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Auto Expo was started first in 1986, the second in 1993, and the third in 1996. Since then, Auto Expo has been institutionalized as a biennial show.
