A five year old British boy who broke into the house he was staying at has been kidnapped by Pakistani robbers in Pakistan, it was feared today.
The boy – reportedly named Sohil Naqoosh – was apparently taken this morning from a house in the Punjab region of the country.
British High Commission in Islamabad said officials were in touch with the boy’s family and local authorities were investigating the snatch.
His father, Raja Naqqash Saeed, has told Sky News the kidnappers are now demanding a £100,000 ransom for the boy’s return.
He said: “I told them I don’t have that much money… I can’t afford that.”
“They took everything off us – they took everything in our house,” he said.
“We are in touch with the family and the local authorities are currently investigating.” Says British High Commission Officials.
